When it is complete in 2021, Xcel customers in Brown, Chippewa, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Nicollet, Redwood, Sibley, and Yellow Medicine Counties can subscribe to 1.4 Megawatts of solar energy. That is enough renewable energy to power 100 homes.
Developed by Novel Energy Solutions, working with Xcel Energy, membership to this solar garden is offered exclusively to Xcel Energy customers. Your membership in the community solar garden supports renewable energy in your community and lowers your utility bills. That’s a win-win for you and the earth.
Members see a guaranteed savings of 10% on their monthly energy bills. That will equate to thousands of dollars in savings over the life of the solar garden.
