COMMUNITY SOLAR GARDEN DETAILS
The Dakota Community Solar garden is located in Zumbrota, Minnesota. When it is complete in the Spring of 2021, Xcel customers in Goodhue, Dakota, Rice, Dodge, Olmsted, and Wabasha counties can subscribe to 1.4 Megawatts of solar energy. That's enough renewable energy to power 150 homes.
By the Numbers
The Dakota Community Solar Garden will produce the energy equivalent of 167,074 gallons of gas consumed, 818 tons of coal burned, or 150 homes of energy used per year.
